Interested in being an On-Track Mentor?

Are you a positive student role model? Are you interested in seeing others succeed? Do like engaging and interactive activities? Then apply to be an On-Track Mentor! On-Track is a โ€œfor students, by studentsโ€ program that helps those struggling to increase their academic and personal success through refining study skills, improving self-management ability, and strengthening relationships with sources of support on campus. If you like the freedom of solving open-ended problems and being a resource for others, join our team to become part of one of the most dynamic programs on campus.

Qualifications:

  • 2.5 Cumulative GPA (3.0 Preferred)
  • Undergraduate with minimum of second semester Sophomore status required
  • Some previous leadership, mentoring, or group facilitation experience

Mentor Expectations:

  • Be a positive academic role model for mentees
  • Ability to facilitate small and large group exercises
  • Plan and execute interactive seminars and other presentations about academic success skills
  • Mentor a group of 10-20 On-Track participants
  • Attend all assigned On-Track activities
  • Attendance at required training scheduled during the first week of the semester

5-10 hours per week (relative to time of year) dedicated to mentor position
