Job Description

The Nuclear Engineering & Radiation Science Department is seeking a dependable student assistant to provide administrative, communication, and outreach support to ensure efficient and effective office operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to department faculty and office support staff
  • Maintain a professional office environment, including managing and replenishing office supplies
  • Handle departmental forms and organizational matters with discretion and confidentiality
  • Make copies, post flyers, and collaborate with student organizations for publications
  • Organize and prepare materials for Nuclear Engineering & Radiation Science events
  • Assist with social media content creation and management for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Help create and edit PowerPoint presentations and flyers
  • Provide coverage or assistance when other office staff are unavailable
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission and vision of the department

Minimum Qualifications

  • Nuclear Engineering student preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired
  • Current student enrollment required

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Basic proficiency in PowerPoint and visual content creation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
